A quick word about God, if I may. I have noticed that many people have a "hot-dog vendor" relationship with God (for those of us that are vegetarian, replace with "pretzel-vendor"). What I mean here is this; in a typical city, many people know the local hot-dog vendor. Some know his/her name, some even know his/her family, but there isn't a close friendship/relationship there. The vendor is only called upon when something is needed or wanted. He/she is never sought out just for friendly conversation/fellowship.  God wants more from us, he wants more than that type of relationship!  Think for a moment about a close friend you have had during your life. The times you shared, the ups and downs, the discussions, etc. THAT (in my personal belief) is what God wants. He wants you to come to Him during the good times as well as the bad, the highs and lows, and he wants the closeness that best friends share. Give it a try...
